OVERVIEW

Low cost and easy-to-use spreadsheet templates for Project Management, Scheduling Customer Jobs and Employees, Generating Calendars and Gantt Charts. The Excel Scheduler is a sub-set of the Spreadsheet Scheduler, containing all models except job/workcenter models.

Scheduling problems tend to be specific to the operating procedures of a particular business. Therefore, this collection can be used as a set of building blocks to develop custom applications. The spreadsheet environment is particularly suited for this since you can link, customize, expand, and consolidate the data however you wish.

The 14 spreadsheet-based programs provide an easy-to-use set of tools to help any organization manage projects more efficiently, improve customer deliveries, and minimize work-in-process times.

HOW IT WORKS

The Spreadsheet Scheduler includes CPM (Critical Path Management) models for hourly, daily, or weekly time units.

By determining early and late starting points for each task, as well as task duration and precedence relationships, the template generates a Gantt Chart showing which tasks are critical; that is, must be done on time, otherwise the entire schedule will slip.

Work flow and work-in-process models provide techniques for scheduling customer jobs through single workstations, workstations in series, or workstations in parallel. These models enable more efficient planning and accurate customer deliveries through minimizing average flow time, number of days late for jobs, and number of late jobs.

Functionality also includes ability to do "what-if" analysis to accommodate changes without missing deadlines.
